Emilie Christian Day opened in August, 1958 offering
a Christian preschool program to the growing community
of Levittown. It began with three classes in the basement
of the original Emilie church building. Upon completion
of the new church education building in 1994, the school
moved to its present location. Currently there are over
220 children enrolled. The school is conducted by the
Emilie United Methodist Church on a non-profit, but
self-sustaining basis, for the benefit of children in
Levittown and the surrounding areas.
It is a non-sectarian, but Christian school. |
